Finally the long-awaited BBC TV adaptation of Sebastian Faulk’s WWI novel Birdsong is shown on British TV. It’s a two-part adaptation that got a lot of rave preview reviews.
I’m sure all those who loved the novel, would want to watch this and all those who are interested in WWI as well.
I missed part I but they will air it again shortly. As soon as I’ve seen part I and II will post my review.
I haven’t heard of this one. I’ll have to look for it.
I hope I can watch it soon.
Have you read the book? It’s great.
I haven’t. Should I read it first?
Yes, I guess. It’s too good to risk having it spoilt because of the movie.
a bbc series, I have to find this one. I am becoming more attach to British day by day
The second part has just been on TV two days ago. I hope you can find it.
I have found it 🙂
just need to find time to see it
Lucky you. I haven’t seen it yet.
It was phenomenal. We stayed up until 4am watching. Better than most period movies (sorry, Warhorse, but Birdsong kicked your arse). Not so many movies have been made about WWI and this is a jewel.
I had some doubts while watching part I but part II won me over completely.
I agree with you and since I’m particularly interested in WWI, I’m always grateful for good movies.
